We strive to provide a fun, safe and exciting environment that fosters fundamental baseball and softball skills and techniques in the Greater Vancouver Area . Whether your child wishes to play ball for enjoyment, or is an aspiring athlete, they will learn, play and grow through participation in our programs. Sports are an excellent way for children to learn and to grow while having fun. We focus on mastering the FUNdamentals. It’s acceptable to make mistakes; learning is a life-long process that takes time and commitment.
Learn & Play Ball Academy is the new name under which Vancouver All Stars Baseball Ltd. In 2007, Paul Granat, then a student in the Human Kinetics program at UBC, started a summer day camp program for elementary school aged children to learn to play baseball operating under the name "Vancouver All Star Baseball". During it's 11 years of operation, Vancouver All Stars Baseball became the premier summer baseball camp for boys and girls ages 5 ~ 13 to learn, develop and grow through the sport of baseball. Over 2,000 boys and girls have taken part in British Columbia’s #1 summer baseball experience! In addition to local children wishing to learn and improve their ball skills, we have hosted enthusiastic baseball players from around the globe, and have trained Hollywood actor Zac Efron & child actor Charlie Tahan for their role in the movie Charle St. Cloud. Vancouver All Stars Baseball has been featured in: The Globe & Mail Life, Telus TV myCommunity health & wellness, Shaw Television, the Vancouver Courier, the Vancouver Shinpo and more!

OUR HEAD COACH
Paul has been working with children in sports for well over 10 years. As a NCCP certified baseball coach, Paul has been actively involved with baseball in the Vancouver community after having played the sport at a competitive level for over 15 years.
As a graduate of the University of British Columbia’s specialised Bachelor of Human Kinetics program, Paul brings an in depth knowledge of the fundamental baseball skills and movements necessary to learn the game, as well as an understanding of advanced baseball techniques and training methods. Additionally Paul is knowledgeable in coaching methodology; exercise and sport bio-mechanics; kinesthetic learning; physical education; health, leisure & wellness; as well as sports development & management.
